FYI: Vision Insurance vs. Health Insurance

A vision insurance policy is not the same as health insurance
Regular health insurance plans protect you against financial losses due to unexpected eye injuries or disease.

Vision insurance, on the other hand, is a wellness benefit designed to provide routine eye care, prescription eyewear and other vision-related services at a reduced cost.

We are now an out-of-network provider

We have exciting news to share with you. As of September 2023 we have decided to become an open-network practice. This means our practice will be able to offer you a new option to utilize your vision plan benefits.

As an open-access provider, while we are not in-network, we can still provide you with services/ materials and can still verify your vision benefits/coverage. If you provide us with a few pieces of information, we are able to pull your benefit eligibility and coverage, tell you how much you will pay for services and show you how much your plan will reimburse/discount you directly.

Our practice decided to move in this direction to ensure continuity of care and provide you with the best level of service. Here are three reasons why this will benefit you,

  1. Concierge Service – Navigating through vision benefits is hard. Our team has the experience to help you understand your vision plan coverage and help you use it.

  2. Our Partnerships – Because we are an open-network practice, we are able to carefully select the labs we work with to ensure you get high-quality services/materials each and every time.

  3. More Options – Don’t worry about your vision plan dictating which frames you can choose. Anything you see out on display at our practice, you can purchase and STILL have your vision plan cover some/all of the cost!

Call our practice today 303-307-0200 and let our expert team get you the care you need!

The cost of routine eye exams and prescription eyewear can be of real concern, especially for large families. In many cases, vision insurance can lower these annual expenses.
